A campaign that wants to end mass surveillance shouldn’t run one. Here is exactly what this site collects.
What we collect
When you sign up, we keep what you type: your name, email, ZIP code, mobile number if you give one, whether you agreed to texts, whether you offered to volunteer, the page you signed up from, and the date. That’s it.
Social media feed
The home page shows our latest Instagram posts through a widget from Elfsight. When it loads, Elfsight and Instagram (Meta) receive your browser’s standard request information and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. The rest of the site uses no advertising pixels.
Our host, Cloudflare, counts visits without cookies and without identifying you, so we know how many people read each page.
How we use it
To send you campaign updates by email (sent through our email provider, Resend) and, if you agreed, by text. If you offered to volunteer, we use it to contact you about that. We never sell, rent or trade your information.
Donations
Donations are processed by Anedot, our payment provider, under Anedot’s privacy policy. Florida law requires campaigns to report each contributor’s name and address, plus occupation for gifts over $100. Those reports are public records.
Text messages
If you give your mobile number and tick the text box, we send campaign text messages through our texting provider. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We will not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing (1) with vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); (2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process; and (3) if the user consents to our sharing of such information. Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your sign-up deleted, reply to any campaign email and ask; we’ll remove it.
